Sound story - my journey to school First level
Create sounds for a musical story about a journey to school. You can use instruments, voices, body percussion or even objects to create the sounds.
A treasure map sound story First level
What sounds would you hear when following the route on the map? Can you recreate these sounds using instruments, voices, body percussion or objects. Perform your treasure map sound story with the sounds in the correct order.
Sound picture - a rainy day at the park First/Second level
Look at this picture closely. Recreate the sounds from the park using instruments, voices, body percussion and objects. Using a conductor, pointing to different parts of the picture, perform each sound separately then all together at the end. What hand signals could the conductor use to ask everyone to play and everyone to stop playing?
Spiral graphic score - The Four Seasons First/Second level
Create sounds to represent each of the seasons. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Winter - cold metal sounds, shivery and shaky sounds.
Spring - bird song, pecking birds, new buds growing.
Summer - hot, lazy (slow), warm sounds, buzzing insect sounds.
Autumn - leaves falling, crunching on the ground, conkers dropping, wooden instruments.
A conductor will point slowing from the centre following the spiral outwards. The sounds for each season will be heard when pointed at. Try pointing from the outside towards the centre. Which was your favourite?
